I feel that all painting is abstract, some more than others. We do not need all these categories for art and artists. Like Ad Reinhardt said so eloquently, “Hardening of the categories can cause art attacks.”  I paint with strong sensitivity, using shapes, lines and colors to express myself as an artist. It has taken me the past 30 years to find my way. I now am painting strong compositions, with dynamic colors and expressionistic feelings.

Bob Carl has been painting sensitive works for over 30 years. He has a Masters degree in studio art. He is one of the best colorists I have seen in a number of years. His inventive use of form, shape and compositions is astounding. An artist like him only comes along every few years. He is an artist worth getting to know and understand his works.
